Events and Volunteer Coordinator

As the Ed & Nancy Hanenburg Children's Advocacy Center Events & Volunteer Coordinator, Andrea wears many hats. She is responsible for all fundraising events and programs - in-person and virtual - that directly support the free services the Center provides. She also holds responsibilities for marketing, communication and development. Andrea recruits volunteers to support the many tasks of the CAC. As part of the CAC Prevention Team, Andrea educates Ottawa County's elementary students about body safety with the CAC Kids Have Rights program. She also facilitates adult trainings such as Darkness 2 Light and 5 Steps to Protecting Children. Last but not least, Andrea also maintains Cora's Care Closet, coordinating drives to help to meet the emergency needs of children and non-offending family members the CAC serves. Andrea was born and raised in Holland, MI, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in the Science of Criminal Justice, and is the mommy to one amazing young man, and a bonus mom to three more awesome kids alongside her awesome husband.
