She also trains adults in Mandated Reporting and to become Stewards of Children through the Darkness to Light program. Cara is interested in using research and collaboration with other CAC’s to provide high-quality and inclusive prevention to children, families, and the community. Cara also heads the CAC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She volunteers as a Food Pantry Manager with Be a Rose, Inc., which is a local non-profit that provides health and wellness education to women and girls and distributes hygiene products at no cost. Cara enjoys exploring the trails and beaches of West Michigan with her husband, trying new foods, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her dog.
