Our Commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI)

We believe everyone deserves care from professionals who are committed to providing child abuse prevention and intervention in a way that values and respects the unique differences of each client without judgment or discrimination. At the CAC, our team is committed to continuous learning and growth in order to create an environment where healing from trauma feels accessible to all. For more about our collective identity as it relates to JEDI, please read our document on Centering the Center.

Our CAC Model

We utilize a child centered, facility-based, national model in which representatives from many disciplines work together to make team decisions on cases of child abuse.

Our Team

We are a dedicated team of professionals representing a variety of disciplines all unified in our purpose of caring for those impacted by child sexual abuse. Each of us realizes the important role we play in helping kids and families navigate life after reporting abuse.

Our Spaces

We have a beautiful facility that represents the hope associated with child sexual abuse rather than the heaviness. We are intentional about creating a child-centered, colorful, and safe environment that supports healing.

Our History and Impact

For over 25 years, the Children’s Advocacy Center has been the community expert in child sexual abuse prevention and intervention. Over time, programs have been added, buildings have expanded, and our reach has extended. We have served over 9,000 children in Ottawa County with intervention services and the number continues to grow. We are changing lives at the CAC and the impact will be felt by generations to come.
